Researchers monitored brain activity while the subjects evaluated how attractive people in the photos were.
The second time they got photos of people who they rated as very attractive. The attraction grew more the third time, and it was at the highest level when the subjects were shown the same person, that is her photograph, for the fourth time.
That's when increased brain activity was recorded and it was the proof that Cupid arrow does not fly that fast. At least not at first sight.
